Castel d'or
Castell d’Or is the result of a collective vision, bringing together over 2,200 winegrowing families from different villages across Catalonia. Rooted in tradition but looking towards the future, the project was born with the idea of uniting efforts to produce wines and cavas that reflect the richness of the territory, while maintaining a deep respect for the land and those who cultivate it.
The vineyards are spread across diverse regions, each contributing its own personality. From Penedès to Conca de Barberà, Tarragona, and Montsant, the variation in soils, climates, and altitudes brings complexity and balance to the wines. Most of the vineyards are farmed by small growers who have been working their land for generations. Their knowledge and commitment form the backbone of Castell d’Or’s identity.
The focus is not on large-scale production, but rather on preserving local varieties, working sustainably, and maintaining strong ties to rural communities. In the winery, the approach is careful and precise, using modern tools to support traditional methods. The aim is always the same—to produce wines and cavas that are honest, balanced, and full of life.
Castell d’Or is more than just a winery. It is a network of people, families, and places, all united by a shared respect for nature and a belief in the value of working together.
