This project represents the new generation of Spanish winemakers, rooted in tradition, but with a fresh perspective.
Juanma and Laura grew up in a small village, surrounded by nature and a deep connection to their land. Their families, generations of farmers and ranchers, worked hard just to live with dignity, raising crops and animals not as a business, but as a way to survive. That history shaped their values: effort, respect, and simplicity.
The vineyards they now tend were originally planted for family use, not for profit, but for subsistence. Today, those same vines speak through wines that are honest, humble, and full of character.
Located in the Sierra de Gredos, neigbourhs of Commando G, their old Garnacha vines grow in decomposed granite soils at high altitude around 1000 meters. The result is wines with tension, freshness, and a deep mineral core. Each plot is different, and they work to let those differences shine, letting the wine express its origin with clarity.
As they say:
“We couldn’t live any other way. If we chose this path, it’s because we believe in it, and we put our heart into it.”
Their project is also about reviving pride in rural life, about giving back dignity to a land that has long been overlooked, part of what many call the España Vaciada (“Empty Spain”). But there is nothing empty here — only people quietly rebuilding the landscape and the community, one vineyard at a time.
In the winery, the goal is not to shape the wine, but to preserve the identity of each place. Winemaking is gentle, patient, and respectful, allowing the Garnacha to tell the story of each site, each stone, each season.
These are not wines that shout, but for those who listen, especially sommeliers who seek authenticity and place, they offer something rare: wines full of soul, shaped by granite and generations.
