Spanish Terroir sells wine only to adults. Under the Dutch Alcohol Act (Alcoholwet) it is illegal to sell or supply alcoholic beverages to anyone under 18 in the Netherlands. We support the national NIX18 campaign: no alcohol under 18 — niet kopen, niet krijgen, niet drinken.

Every visitor confirms their age before entering the site. Every order is age-checked again at delivery: the courier asks for valid ID, and a delivery can be refused if the recipient cannot prove they are 18 or older. We do not deliver to addresses where ID cannot be presented.

We follow the Dutch advertising code for alcoholic beverages (Reclamecode voor Alcoholhoudende dranken, RvA), maintained by the Stichting Reclame Code. In practice that means:

• We do not target minors in any of our communications.
• We do not associate wine with social success, sporting performance, sexual prowess, or other behaviour the code prohibits.
• Our newsletter and trade list go only to people who have asked to receive them, and only to adults.
• We are members of the broader self-regulation framework of the Dutch alcohol sector under STIVA (Stichting Verantwoorde Alcoholconsumptie).

• Drink in moderation. The Dutch Health Council recommends no alcohol — or, if you do drink, no more than one standard glass a day.
• Never drink and drive. The Dutch limit is 0.5 ‰ blood alcohol; 0.2 ‰ for new drivers in the first five years.
• Do not drink if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.
• Be careful combining alcohol with medication — ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.
• Look after the people around you. If a friend has had too much, take their keys and call a taxi.

Enjoy, but drink in moderation. Wine is at its best slowly, at a table, with food and company — and never as a race or a measure of how the evening has gone.
