Vintage 2023 · the year

A cooler vintage with abundant rainfall, especially in spring and early summer. The harvest was later than average, resulting in fresh, aromatic wines with marked acidity and tension. A classical, Atlantic expression with excellent balance and ageing potential.

Sommelier note

Open 30 minutes before service. Decant for younger vintages. Avoid over-chilling — serve closer to the warmer end of the recommended range when paired with richer dishes.

Arabako Valley, Txakoli · est. 2017

"I believe it is essential to reconnect with the winegrowing criteria used in the past at our Arrastaria Valley. These criteria, lost around 150 years ago, are potentially recoverable. I think it is possible to rediscover our land from the winemaking point of view, by believing in its great potential to produce honest wines with a deep local character."

Farming
I let the natural vegetation grow around the vineyard and let the sheep walk through to graze — they help manage the grass, fertilise the soil, and keep the ecosystem in balance without machines or chemicals.
